HOW TO FIND LAPTOP MODEL

ON THE DEVICE

Locate your laptop model on the front or back of the device:
1. OPEN THE LAPTOP AND LOOK AROUND THE SCREEN BEZEL OR THE PALMREST.
2. LOOK ON THE BOTTOM OR UNDERSIDE OF THE LAPTOP.

3. REMOVE THE LAPTOP BATTERY AND LOOK BENEATH IT.

IN WINDOWS

Locate your laptop model using Microsoft Windows System Info:
1. FROM YOUR WINDOWS START MENU, SEARCH AND SELECT "INFO OR SYSTEM INFORMATION".
2. SELECT "SYSTEM INFORMATION" AND LOOK FOR "SYSTEM MODEL".

3. IDENTIFYING SYSTEM MODEL

System model will be located and identified as “System Model”. In our example the model of this laptop is a HP Probook 450 G5. This same method is used to obtain your desktop model if it has one. Please note many desktops are custom builds and they will not have a model here. In this case you can still sell us your desktop using the CPU and GPU type below.

How to find your laptop CPU type and generation:
1. FROM YOUR WINDOWS START MENU, SEARCH AND SELECT "SYSTEM INFORMATION".
2. SELECT "SYSTEM INFORMATION" AND LOOK FOR "SYSTEM MODEL".

3. CPU GEN EXAMPLES:
Intel Core i7-7680H = Intel Core i7 7th Gen CPU
Intel Core i9-1000k = Intel Core i9 10th Gen CPU
Intel Core i3-2600 = Intel Core i3 2nd Gen CPU
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X = AMD Ryzen 7 3rd Gen CPU

GPU OR VIDEO CARD

How to find your laptop GPU model:
1. FROM YOUR WINDOWS START MENU, SEARCH AND SELECT "DEVICE MANAGER".
2. SELECT "DEVICE MANAGER" AND CLICK AND EXPAND "SYSTEM MODEL".

3. GPU EXAMPLES:
Common GPU models are as follows:
Nvidia RTX Series Including but not limited to: NVidia RTX 3080, RTX 2080, RTX 2060 etc.
Nvidia GTX Series, including but not limited to: GTX 1080, GTX 1080 TI, GTX 1060 etc.
Radeon Series, Including but not limited to: RX 5700 XT, RX 5600 XT, RX 6900 XT etc.
